a) Setting up Appropriate Equipment
For the RSPCA segment, we had access to 2 Canon 650D DSLR Cameras as well as 4 different lenses; Regular, Portrait, Wide and Zoom. Over the course of the event, we utilized each type of lens in order to capture a variety of shots. This was planned in our shooting schedule, as different sections of the event required different hardware; from an overall shot of all the booths from the upper floor to close ups of attendants playing games.
b) Following Script/Storyboard
Our intention for our production segment was to record footage and afterwards add a speech overlay to review the games we played. After the event we began to work on the script based on our experience, talking about how we thought each game was like.
c) Following Safe working practices
This means following the risk assessment and recce in order to keep potential risks to a minimum. Take for example the risk of theft, due there being crowds of people, was minimised by concealing and protecting equipment.
d) Following Production processes
For my contribution to this production, I assumed the position of director, presenter and camera operator.
